Product details

Description

The TFS Mid 40's is the mid-length step-up in the TFS x Sunova line. At 5'1" × 18 3/16" × 3 3/8" and 43 liters, it gives more foam than the Prone and Prone + while staying a narrow, usable foil board, with long boxes so the foil can be set for prone or para-wing.

Construction is a Sunova wood-veneer deck with carbon rails: stiff, dent-resistant, and about 10–15% lighter than typical boards in this volume. The board comes fully tractioned with a corduroy pad — firm enough to shuffle your feet, not so dense that they cramp.

Josh and Patrick designed this shape for surf that is a little harder to make on a traditional prone, and for anyone who wants extra volume without jumping to a big board. It also works well for para-wing in stronger wind. Named for the 43 liters, or for a rider in his mid-40s. Haha. Either way, it is the board in the line that sits between high-performance prone and the Mid 50's.
