Product details

Description

AFS Silk V2 Front Wing is the sharper, stronger, smoother evolution of the original Silk — a high-performance surf-foil front wing built for riders who want more glide, more drive, and more precise carving without losing the smooth, confidence-inspiring feel that made the Silk so trusted.

Why we like it

The original Silk became a favorite because it rolled rail-to-rail easily, felt predictable in turbulent water, and made tight surf turns feel natural. The V2 keeps that DNA, then adds a higher-aspect, more efficient outline, refined tips, and updated dihedral so it carries more speed and glide while still feeling loose and surfy.

  • More glide and pump: the V2 carries speed through flat spots and makes it easier to connect sections or link waves.
  • Sharper carving: updated dihedral and redesigned tips help the wing lock into turns while keeping that smooth Silk roll.
  • More range: six sizes from 650 to 1150 cm² let riders fine tune for weight, skill, discipline, and conditions.
  • Confident control: designed for intermediate to expert riders who want performance without twitchy, nervous handling.
  • Premium construction: HR Carbon with a Corecell core for stiffness, response, and durability.

Best for

  • Prone / surf foil: fast, flowing lines, smooth rail-to-rail transitions, and better wave-to-wave connection.
  • Wing foil in waves: flag out, carve, and ride the foil instead of just powering across the water.
  • Downwind / bump riding: improved glide and drive help carry through soft sections and keep lines connected.
  • SUP foil: stable lift and enough top-end speed for small to medium surf.

Size guidance

Use these as starting points. Go smaller for tighter turns and more speed; go larger for earlier lift, heavier riders, softer waves, or lighter wind.

Foil Kook review

In The Foil Kook’s first-look Silk V2 750 review, the big takeaways were simple: faster, better glide, way easier pump, and still very much a Silk. He called the 750 a likely daily driver and said it effectively replaced his Silk V1 850 for many conditions, while noting the V1 remains a great forgiving option for riders still building turns and confidence.
